ROTAMETER(FLOW MEASURING INSTRUMENT)

Image
The Rotameter which is classified as a variable area meter was invented by Karl kueppers in 1908 and ever since its the mostly used VA meters. Rotameter is a device that is used to measure the volumetric flow rate of liquid and gases in a vertically installed glass tube. They provide precise and economical way of indicating flow rate in a fluid system. Rotameter is a gravity-type flowmeter under the VA meters because of the opposition between the downward force of gravity and the upward force of the flowing fluid. The basic components of the flow meter are Tapered glass tube Float  MODE OF OPERATIONS The rotameter consist of three elements for its operations; the glass tube,  the float and a measuring scale. The float rises as a result of upward force from the fluid flow. For gases,  the float rises due to the pressure from the gas while for liquids the float rises as a result of the combination of the pressure from the liquid and its buoyancy to expand ...

Magmeter (flow measuring instrument)

MAGMETER Magmeter is an electromagnetic flow measuring instrument that's used for measuring conductive and aqueous fluid,  its a device that produces ideal result. The magmeter rely on a measurement principle that is non intrusive and produces no pressure drop as it moves along the pipe. Its suitable for volumetric fluid flow. The basic principle in which the magmeter obeys is the Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction which states that whenever there's a change in the magnetic line of force(flux) linked with a circuit,  an electromotive force is induced in the circuit. From the stated law,  when the magnetic flux is induced it causes a potential difference that is proportional to the velocity flow and perpendicular to the magnetic flux. The magmeter consist of Electrode Non ferromagnetic flow tube Conductive liner Exciting coil
