Magmeter (flow measuring instrument)

MAGMETER
Magmeter is an electromagnetic flow measuring instrument that's used for measuring conductive and aqueous fluid,  its a device that produces ideal result. The magmeter rely on a measurement principle that is non intrusive and produces no pressure drop as it moves along the pipe. Its suitable for volumetric fluid flow.

The basic principle in which the magmeter obeys is the Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction which states that whenever there's a change in the magnetic line of force(flux) linked with a circuit,  an electromotive force is induced in the circuit.
From the stated law,  when the magnetic flux is induced it causes a potential difference that is proportional to the velocity flow and perpendicular to the magnetic flux. The magmeter consist of

  • Electrode
  • Non ferromagnetic flow tube
  • Conductive liner
  • Exciting coil
