ROTAMETER(FLOW MEASURING INSTRUMENT)

Image
The Rotameter which is classified as a variable area meter was invented by Karl kueppers in 1908 and ever since its the mostly used VA meters. Rotameter is a device that is used to measure the volumetric flow rate of liquid and gases in a vertically installed glass tube. They provide precise and economical way of indicating flow rate in a fluid system. Rotameter is a gravity-type flowmeter under the VA meters because of the opposition between the downward force of gravity and the upward force of the flowing fluid. The basic components of the flow meter are Tapered glass tube Float  MODE OF OPERATIONS The rotameter consist of three elements for its operations; the glass tube,  the float and a measuring scale. The float rises as a result of upward force from the fluid flow. For gases,  the float rises due to the pressure from the gas while for liquids the float rises as a result of the combination of the pressure from the liquid and its buoyancy to expand ...

Magmeter (flow measuring instrument)

Image
MAGMETER Magmeter is an electromagnetic flow measuring instrument that's used for measuring conductive and aqueous fluid,  its a device that produces ideal result. The magmeter rely on a measurement principle that is non intrusive and produces no pressure drop as it moves along the pipe. Its suitable for volumetric fluid flow. The basic principle in which the magmeter obeys is the Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction which states that whenever there's a change in the magnetic line of force(flux) linked with a circuit,  an electromotive force is induced in the circuit. From the stated law,  when the magnetic flux is induced it causes a potential difference that is proportional to the velocity flow and perpendicular to the magnetic flux. The magmeter consist of Electrode Non ferromagnetic flow tube Conductive liner Exciting coil

SIMPLE STEPS IN PLANT AND ENGINE SERVICING

Image
Plants are device that make work easier and faster, they consist of several components coupled for the effectuation of power supply. Plants generally are classified as Domestic plants Industrial plants For the purpose of the topic, its classifications won't be explained, comment to inform me if you need it            Simple steps in engine or plant servicing  Warm the engine to reduce viscosity ie thickness of the lubricant Remove the battery terminals Drain the oil Remove the oil filter (using filter clamp)                   Filter clamp Apply  new oil filter and oil Oil filter Change fuel filter             Fuel filter Bleed the engine ( slacking the nuts of the injector nozzle) then cranking the engine For carburetors bleeding is not necessary Apply new engine oil and gauge  N:B over gauging  of oil weakens the ri...

Reasons why two stroke engine will never become obsolete

Image
J ust in case you think the two stroke cycle engine will become obsolete, I advice you have a rethink because it will never be. Internal combustion engine dated back to 1876 when Dr. Nicolaus A. Otto first invented the spark ignition engine[petrol], then Rudolf Christain Karl Diesel developed the compression ignition engine[Diesel]. Since then engines have continue to develop with new technologies as well as increase in the knowledge of engine process. The purpose of the internal combustion engine is the production of mechanical power from chemical energy contained in fuel. The energy is released by burning the fuel inside the engine.  According to the cycle of operation, engines are classified as the two stroke cycle, four stroke cycle six stroke cycle and the rotary combustion. The rise in global technology which increased the demand of new type of engine, caused many to think that the two stroke engine will become obsolete in the nearest future. The two stroke cycle engin...
